Is there a possibility to prevent ActiveSync to create a startup entry
in HKCU/run in the registry?

I want to _manually_ start ActiveSync on my laptop; so I close down the
ActiveSync manager in the tasklist, remove the entry from the HKCU/run
key, but every time I start ActiveSync it puts a startup entry back
there. How to avoid that - if it _is_ possible?

I use MS ActiveSync 3.7.1 in combination with XP.

Thanks for your input.

Take a look at http://BevHoward.com/ASync.htm#WCESCOMM for explanation
and one approach.

There is a utility that will do the same.
