Active Sync in my Windows XP Home Edition desktop seem to
be trying to connect with my Ipaq rx3715 forever without
securing a succesful connection via usb. The problem
prevailed when I installed Windows SP2 and persists after
it was un-installed. Any suggestions out there ?

Hi,
Do you have a software firewall installed on your PC?  If you do then it can
prevent ActiveSync from connecting.
