I've got a new PC and want to change to this as the primary partner without
loosing any information or have it doubled as it happened when I had to do a
"cold reboot" on the PPC. Does anybody knows how to do this in a smooth
maner?

First, there is no "primary" partner... the limit is two parterships and
they are essentially equal although they may be configured to sync
different items.

Start the process with a fresh sync on each existing pc.

If you now have two partnerships, when you connect with the new pc, you
will be prompted to select one of the old partnerships to replace, then
you should be good to go.

However, you do have to prepare for what's going to happen to the
data... your choices will be to "combine" or replace all data on the
device with that on the pc.

If your new pc's outlook is empty, "combine" and the pc will be updated
with the contents of your pocketpc.  If you have restored your new pc's
olutlook with the old pc's pim data, your only option is to replace.

If you have a full backup to memory card on the ppc and have backed up
your outlook data on the pc, you will then have the option of "starting
over" so, make the backups and save future agony.
