Hi everybody.

OS:              MS Windows XP SP2
SW:             MS Office 2003
Sync SW:     MS Activesync 3.8
PDA:            Qtek9090 with Windows Mob 2003.

Issue:            Copy of .doc files from PC to PDA and syncronization
cannot be completed as conversion of text fails.
Error:            More updated "msconv97.dll" file is required.

Actions:        Tried (almost) all tricks found in the microsoft.com site.
No success.

Any smart idea?

Thanks

| Thanks

There are sites (other than MS) that have dll files on- search for that
file and look at the sites.
Try http://www.dll-files.com/ for starters.
btw 'smart idea' is not really the best way to put what you mean, it
has connotations that can be negative- just leave the smart bit out.

Hi Alan

I have 4 versions:

2003.1100.5426
2.00.7260
2000110900
98012700

Which version is yours? I can send the others if you'd like.

The version of msconv97.dll installed in the folder where Autosync has been
located is:
2003.1100.6252.0
It seams to be a recent version, however the error box still says that i
need a more updated version of the file to grant text conversion from .doc
in the PC to the pda. Very strange :-(

Many thanx for the help

Your file is newer than those I have. You can try a few more things:
email your pda manufacturer
try in a Win XP newsgroup
try a web search

good luck.

Hi,
Try disabling the conversion in ActiveSync - Tools - Options. You can open
desktop file format Word documents on the Pocket PC.
