Syncing PDA via Remote desktop connection

Here's what I am looking to do:
I want to be able to sync with outlook and other files located on my work PC
from my home pc via remote desktop connection. Is this even possible to do?
Any one given a try?

That is not supported, but you could sync remotely via a PPTP VPN tunnel...

Of course this presumes your office network administrators allow this...
