When I am syncing word files the AS looks for changes then stars syncing.
Then it minimizes to the Taskbar, continues to "swirl", shows time remaining
as stable, non reducing and does not transfer the files.
Any ideas? It works correctly about 1 time in 20.

Hi Roberta,
* Which version of ActiveSync are you using?
* Does the same happen if you sync a blank word file?
* How big is the file size of the word file you are trying to sync?

Hi, Raj,
* I am using 3.8.0
* No, it didn't happen when I tried a blank file
* I have tried various sized files, one at a time or in a group
This is a recent development. I've put files of nearly a megabite and some
small as 5k with no trouble.
It's very annoying, I keep my life on the iPaq and my laptop and need to
sync!
Thanks for looking into it for me!

Hi Roberta,
Does it occur if you disable the file conversion for Word in ActiveSync?
Pocket Word can open .doc files even without conversion.
1. Open Activesync -> Options -> rules tab.
2. Click Conversion settings.
3. Click Desktop to Device tab, select Microsoft Word Document -> Edit and
select the 1st option "No conversion".
