I have a Toshiba e310 that I had to change the battery in.
How do I name the Pocket_PC to sync with the computer to reload the data
lost due to changing the battery?
The Pocket_PC uses the windows version 2002. It is at the default setting
how came from the manufacturer..
If I put it on the cradle, it wants to sync under a new account and not get
the info from the existing account on the computer.
Is there a way to do this??
I can find nothing in the user book or the toshibadirect web site.
Thanks..
I really don't want to retype Everything.. :-)
I saw after changing the battery that I should have done a backup to restore
from.. but its too late now..

Hi,
If the Pocket PC was hard reset (ie: all the data was lost) then you have to
restore a backup you made. This is done by creating a guest partnership and
using Tools - Backup & Restore.
If you don't have a backup you can delete the partnership (leave the files
in the folder) and then setup a new partnership. Any data in Outlook will
be sent to the Toshiba along with any files in the Pocket PC My Documents
folder.

Thanks Chris,
I went the second option and seems to be fine.. It's my wife's
palm and she seems to think it's all updated as expected..
The new partnership has a different name.. should I just delete
(Un-associate or whatever) the previous name?
Thanks for the help..

Hi,
You can delete the old partnership - File - Delete Partnership if you are
not using it anymore.
