Hi,

I have followed directions in numerous posts regarding the deleting of two
dlls and so on in order to downgrade from as41 to as38.  This is great...  I
can now sync via USB.

My problem is now that I cannot Explore my PPC,  I have been through
numerous reboots, AS reinstalls, and PPC resets

I have an AXIM x50v - WM2003SE connected to a WinXP Pro machine.

Please Help!!  It has been days now... I have seen posts on other sites from
people with the same problem but noone has posted a solution that I can find
:(

Thanks

Phil

Hi,

Are you using any firewall software?  For example:  I use ZoneAlarm and if I
dont give Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) necessary permissions then
ActiveSync doesn't display anything when I attempt to Explore the device via
desktop ActiveSync.

Thanks Raj,

I have no additional firewalls running (or even installed) I have tried
switching off the windows firewall and have also added "explorer" to the
exeptions.

Still no dice :(

Could it be something to do with the USB drivers?

Additional infers you have at least one.

If your PC OS is Win XP there is a built in firewall. Try disabling it.

Hi,

Suggest you try removing ActiveSync manually.  Refer -
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=263152 and reinstall it.  See if makes a
difference.
