iPAQ 6515 (Windows CE 4.21) -> Win2000
(I can get this to sync to my WinXP Home and Pro without a problem)
I have McAfee Virus Scan and Firewall installed, but both are disabled.
I have ActiveSync 3.8.
I plug my handheld into the cradle, and it connects for 2-3 seconds.
It then drops.
Any help would be appreciated...I have been fighting this for two days!

Try adding wcesmgr.exe, wcescomm.exe into the firewall's list of
allowed programs, with full permissions (server permissions, full
inbound and outbound privileges). Also ensure that ports 990, 999,
5678, and 5679 are open (all TCP).

This also sounds like it *might* be caused by some type of VPN operating on
the computer, redirecting traffic to some network interface other than the
iPAQ. Since the iPAQs address can't be found on that other interface, the
attempts to connect to it are eventually rejected and AS stops. If you are
using a VPN, try turning it off completely or disconnecting from the wider
network. I'm not sure that will do it, but it might. To confirm that this
is the problem, we'd need the routing table from the PC after the iPAQ is
physically connected to the PC. You can get this with the 'route print'
command in a DOS window on the PC.
