I am having trouble copying files from my pocket pc to my desktop using
active sync (explore button). I have tried reinstalling active sync
4.1,  no luck. This is an Dell Axim x51v. I can copy files to the
pocket pc just fine, but not the other way around. When I paste the
file to my PC is shows the file being copied but it never shows up in
the destination folder.

Any ideas how to fix this?

What happens if you drag-and-drop it, instead of Copy/Paste it?  I'm curious
as to the type of the file, also (extension).

Tried drag and drop, no different. I have tried jpg, txt, cab. Nothing
works. Really strange.

Where on the device are you copying to/from?  When the copy occurs (I have
no problems), a status dialog from ActiveSync pops up and shows two progress
bars as the file is translated.  I suppose that you could try reinstalling
AS.  Can we safely assume that you're running AS 4.1, that latest?

For testing, you might try turning off or even uninstalling things like
script blockers, virus scanners that scan all network traffic, etc.  I can't
think of anything else to try...
