Activesync 3.8.0, WM 2003, Outlook 2002 with Exchange server.

I've been sycning for a couple of years but suddenly today AS is
reporting the following error and will not sync contacts, tasks, or
calendar:

"Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log on to
the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and
synchronize again. If the problem persists, contact your network
administrator."

I sync with the desktop, not with the server.

I saw a similar post from someone using Outlook 2003 and the response
was to run "detect and repair" from the Outlook help menu. On mine, it's
grayed out. Any help appreciated.

TIA

Hi,
Did you add any add-ins for Outlook 2002?  Some conflict with ActiveSync.

No. Something appeared to be screwed up with the registry permissions as
I'm found other things that weren't working too. It all began when my
user id on the PC in question was moved from one domain to another. I
tried to fix it by adding "full control" on all registry keys for the
new user. Didn't do a backup first though. :-(

On the bright side, I have a new HD image.
