I set up a partnership with desktop and sync with Standard Partnership.
Since want to sync with laptop also I chose "I want to synch with two
computers."
new Screen says my device has two partnerships and have to delete one. I
deleted A6F2329.... and DESKTOP. That is both.
I chose to sync contacts, Files, Notes, and Tasks only.
It begins to sync and then asks if I want to comine items on my device with
those on computer (THIS LEADS TO DUPLICATES being formed on Desktop). or I
can Replace items on my device. BUT my device has the new info and the
desktop has the older info. So I want to go the other way and replace the
desktop with PDA info, BUT there is no option for that.
And I have the exact same problem with the Laptop. (duplicates or copying
the wrong way if I set up another standard parntership.)
I can't get it right and would appreciate thoughts. Thanks.
Tom
Hi,
Do you have the data duplicated on the desktop and the laptop before you
sync? ActiveSync assumes that it is the only method of moving the data
between the desktop and laptop.

Chris,
I just read info on your site www.pocketpcfaq.com. And I got the answer
there. I had just upgraded to 4.2 from an earlier version. The problem was
it had Calender set at two weeks now and created duplicates for earlier than
the two weeks. I read your comment about this, changed the settings, and
now everything is fine.
