My device is running WM5 and has wifi connection to server.
WM's wireless manager shows the server name under WIFI.
When I activesync (be it usb rndis, or usb serial, or serial com) to
a pc, the wifi connection will be lost and wireless manager does not
even show WIFI.

Is this normal behaviour, even with serial com activesync to pc?

Thanks.

Hello,

I fairly certain that this is the normal behavior.  This same thing
happens to me on all three of my WinMo devices.

Yes, WM5 devices do this as a matter of course.  The WiFi adapter is
disabled when AS connects.  I think that this is to keep from accidentally
briding between the coffee shop WiFi network next door and your company's
secure network to which ActiveSync has access.

Oh btw, if this is the case, how can I run the WM's CETK tests for Wi-Fi?
I think I would need an activesync connection to my device.
I am using AKU3.

Thanks.

Not familiar with them.  Post to microsoft.public.windowsce.testtools...
Note that, because of your NDA, if you are a Windows Mobile OEM, you may
want to contact MS directly.
