I've copied several albums to my SD card. When i try to play an album in
WMP10 on an IPAQ 2490 it plays the tracks in alphabetical order rather than
track number! If you check the properties of an mp3 it does say which track
it is on the album so why can't i play the album in track order? The only
alternative i know of is to shuffle play the tracks of the album.
thanks

The easiest way to do this is to create a playlist in the desktop version of
Windows Media Player and then sync that playlist to your device.

There is no way through Window Media Player Mobile to edit a playlist.

Dan,

I've tried to create a playlist and sync but all it does is copy the tracks
and still plays them in alphabetical order.. I've tried using RealPlayer and
Windows Media player, both giving the same result

If you sync the playlist to your portable device it will be accessible from
the Library of Media Player Mobile.  The playlist order will be maintained.

This link might help.

To sync a playlist, BTW, you need to select auto sync, and select the
playlist to be automatically sync'd. You can turn that back off after it has
done it, but auto is the only way to get the playlist as well as the tracks
in it.

This will help you control the playlists and manage the playlists
