I have an iPAQ with microsoft version 3.0.11171 and want to get windows media
player, but the only ones I can find are for Windows CE...does anyone know of
where I could find Windows Media Player compatable to my pocket pc?

http://www.windowsmediatv.com/ppc/mediaplayer8.zip - I think that's
the last version that was available to download, all recent devices
have WMP in ROM. You might want to consider installing TCPMP instead,
it's way better, and free.
