I get a message that niether the Multimedia Controller or Multimedia Audio Controller and installed on my system and when I check the device manager is say the drivers are not install and gives a (code 1) message...... What can I do???? I do not have a disc to install the drivers non will it allow me to search the internet to find a driver Please can someone helpme - I am a real computer novice My apologies if you are using a Windows Mobile Device, PocketPC, Smartphone etc, but your question implies you are not. So, probably the best thing to do is post in a group that could help. Note this is for pocketpc.multimedia. I would go for a standard multimedia group like one of the microsoft.public.windowsmedia groups. I would add what version of the OS you are using and what you are doing when you get the errors, like opening Media Player, or what. You should be able to find the drivers (look for audio drivers), download and then install them. I followed Cari's suggestion and went to Acer's website. Sure enough, they had my driver listed. I was able to download it, extract it, run the "install new hardware wizard" and now my audio is working again.
