Playing IMA ADPCM encoded WAV files on Windows Mobile 6.1

I have wave files that I'm receiving as part of a voicemail text
transcription service from my cell service provider. The wave files have the
original voice message as an email attachment.

However I cannot play these on my HTC Touch Diamond that has Windows Mobile
6.1 on it because when they are accessed the Windows Media Player app that
starts says "An invalid media type was specified". When I did some checking
into the codec it was "IMA ADPCM". If I open a different wave file its codec
is "PCM" - which plays fine on the Windows Mobile phone. When I tried both
types of files on my WinXP machine, Windows Media Player played them both
fine. So I'm presuming that the Window Media Player on the phone does not
support the IMA ADPCM codec in its current state.

Is there some way to get this codec installed on the phone so that I can
access these types of files?

Based on what I know you analysis is correct and I don't know of a way to get
the codec you need on the windows mobile media player.

Terry - Did you ever get this problem fixed? I have the same issue, and hope
to find an easy answer...
