When I try to play the player in my pocketpc 2002 edition,
it looks like it starts up...i.e. I see the title bar
change briefly (.5 seconds). Then it goes away and nothing
happens. I have tried to remove it and reload the player
on several occasions, however, it does the same thing. I
have upgraded to the updated version. I have tried to play
songs by clicking(pointing) on them. It does the same
thing everytime. Looks like it is going to start then goes
away and never starts. I check if the program is running
after I do this and it is not. Any ideas? Thank you.

Figured out my problem. If anyone else is having this
issue, you need to remove all instances of the player in
the device, then reinstall the old version of media player
8, NOT the upgrade that is on Microsoft's site. Then
install the upgrade.
