Is anybody experiencing audio distortion when listen radio over the internet
with a wifi connection?

Is possible that is a configuration issue or I need to add something to my
WMP 9 application?

My pocketpc is a HP 4350 PPC2K3 using wifi.

thanks in advance.

I've run into this but not because it was over wifi more because the source
was distorted.  If possible can you post a link to the station and I'll try
it and let you know what I find.

One of the links that give me distortion is

www.rfm.pt/live/stream_rfm.asx

I tested from a PC with WinXP and I don't have this issue, so I believe is
related with the PocketPC or with the WMP 9.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It may be something with your pocketpc, I tried the stream on my desktop and
my ipaq and both played fine with no distortion.  Do you get the distortion
from both the built in speaker and headphones?

May be is subjective but seems that on headphones the quality it's better
and have less distrotion.

Also chaging in Tools from 56K to LAN (even using WiFi or analogue modem)
the sound looks better... as I said may be subjective...

That's possible, I know with internet/broadcast radio the thing is to
sonically compress the living daylights out of music so that it "Sounds"
loud to the person listening to this.  Like anything else this can be
overdone and this can cause distortion from the source which is translated
to distortion at the client because the average audio waveform is more than
it was meant to produce constantly and now you have even more distortion.
Sorry for the rant but this is something that I really hate about many
commercial radio stations and now it seems to be making it's way to the
internet.
