What type of stream is it? If it's a shoutcast or Live365 stream you can
try gsplayer or Pocket mvp both are free and play streaming radio.

TodayPlayer is also free, and plays streaming radio. It also stores a
playlist of your stations, with your own ratings.

It definitely won't play Real audio.And on the BBC website it says "You
cannot use other programmes, such as Windows Media Player or Quicktime, to
listen to BBC programmes as the BBC currently only supports Real players."
Seems like the beeb took a bribe.
