I have tried pocket divx, but after waiting 8 minutes for a 20 meg video
clip to load, I gave up. I would like to be able to take my music videos
with me to listen to in my car, but I can't find a player to play them.
most of them are avi and mpeg4. If you can recommend a solution or a
freeware player that would solve this problem, it would be greatly
appreciated.

try PocketMVP (newer version of pocket divx) or use windows media encoder to
convert them to .wmv format and use the default windows media player
