the G.726 audio codec. When will someone add support for this.

G726 is notoriously difficult to find for any playback system :-(
I keep getting asked about it for netmeeting, although it features as
a request regularly on the openH323 site. Tabletmedia's ifon comes
with G729, G711 and G723 codecs but not G726, and thats a top rate
compatible product for video chat.
Is is out of the question to install it for pocketTV or pocketDivX
instead, and use one of those programs to view the content ? Or to
convert the content before viewing on the PPC, maybe with windaz
media encoder ?
Else, the best suggestion might be to acquire the source code for the
codec (its bound to be available in the wild) then compile it against
PPC (presumably xScale) processor profile / headers. And finally,
install it for your own use.
Cheers - Neil.

Neil,
I really wish I could do that. If someone with the knowledge to do this
manages then please let us know. All Iwant to do is be able to play video
with audio recorded on my DMRE100H and DV camcorder on my Ipaq.
Regards, Grant
