Wow! Did not know THAT. Do you know if it was because the hardware really
wouldn't support it (as was the case for the e740), or if it is just a
corporate decision? If that latter is the case, that makes me REALLY mad
that all they have to do is provide a software download, and they won't do
it. Even Toshiba provided a ROM update for the little upgrade whatever it
was for PPC2002 (the only difference I really knew was WMP8 to WMP8.5).

Well speaking only for the Dell, I've got an Axim X3i (802.11 Wifi no
bluetooth). The only difference between that and the X30 which gets
WM2003SE is that the X30i comes with bluetooth (as do recent European
X3i's) and that the X30 runs up to 625Mhz with a higher processor
speed but effectively the same processor. Identical memory
specifications.
So, no, it's not a hardware limitation (the X3s all have 64meg ROM,
about 35 meg is actually in use).
