except that this page is very wrong and incomplete, so it is uite
misleading...
.AVI is a container file format, and in general AVI files cannot be played n
Pocket PC. They need to be converted into another format that can be layed
on Pocket PC, like WMV, MPEG, DivX etc.
BetaPlayer and PocketMVP can play AVI files only when they contains DivX
format.
The same comment goes with .MOV (Quicktime): .MOV is a container file ormat,
and MOV files cannot be played on Pocket PC. They need to be onverted into
another format that can be played on Pocket PC, like WMV, MPEG, DivX etc.
Some applications (e.g. PQV) can play MOV files that contain MJPEG video.
.MPEG or .MPG files (MPEG1) can be played by PocketTV Classic, the current
link only points to the enterprise edition which is not free). There is a
free MPEG converter to convert any format (e.g. AVI, VOB, MOV) into MPEG,
see http://forum.pocketmovies.net/viewtopic.php?p=3415#3415 ).
.MPEG files can also be played by PocketMVP.
.VOB files (DVD) cannot be played directly on Pocket PC. They can be
converted to DivX, WMV or MPEG.
DivX files (missing from your list) can be played by the excellent
BetaPlayer and by PocketMVP.

Thanks for that important clarification. I'm still getting to grips
with the PPC capabilities and I haven't tried every varation ;-)
That page seems to have been pulled in any case, so one less thing to
worry about
