Hi,

Following a thread in June by Neil Smith, I was able to embed the media
player in a html page and see it on my PPC screen. However, as mentioned in
that thread, the media player doesn't appear properly and the screen doesn't
refresh correctly. Neil Smith mentioned that he and some other folks are
working on this problem. I am really curious about if there is any solution
around the problem. Does Microsoft have any update on this?

Thanks,

Peter

We concluded there was no satisfactory workaround for using a
background for the media player, if that's the thread you're referring
to.

"However, as mentioned in that thread, the media player doesn't appear

Thats no help at all - I can't remember what I posted 2 weeks ago let
alone what I posted 4 months ago ! Sheesh ;-)

Post your problem again in its entirety.

FYI, WM10 for PPC has an entirely new ActiveX (OCX) which is very
similar to the desktop's object model (apart from lacking obvious
stuff like a DVD/CD object of course !). So you'll need to detect and
script for an appropriate version of the player.

Unfortunately I don't have access to an AximX30 to test the new WM10,
and Dell won't let me update the ROM on my X3 to test it. Bastards.

Cheers - Neil
