Hi all.
Anyone knows why I can't choose other skins on WMP9 PPC on WM2003SE on Ipaq
HX4700? I know you shouldn't save the skin files in the Windows directory but
up to now I have tried all other places but once I try to change the skin
from within WMP there is nothing. Am I missing something?
Cheers

I know what you mean. What I am going to try and do is a hack: The media
player image is just that...an image. If that is edited on Photoshop, I
wonder if it will show up on the player. I tried that with the Today screen
for my HP iPAQ rz1715...worked fine. Sometimes we can do hacks and they
work. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

I was confused about this at first as well. Since Outlook Today only
requires a single .tsk file for the skin, I thought I only needed the WMP
.skn file. However, you need to copy all the image files along with the .skn
file (gifs, bmp's, jpg's, whatever they used). A lot of skins use the same
image filenames, so I have each skin placed in a folder. WMP seems to pick
them up from almost anywhere. I started with these folders under My
Documents in RAM, moved them to the card, and then finally have buried under
/Storage Card/My Documents/WMP Skins/XXXX_Skin/*
