I recently switched from a Palm device to a Verizon Audiovox xv6600. On
the Palm, I used MemoSafe to store sensitive information that I could
access on both my Palm and my laptop. I can't find a similar
functionality with the 6600.
I tried password-protecting an Excel spreadsheet, but if it is protected
on the laptop it won't sync with the 6600. If it is protected on the
6600, there is no password required to view it on the laptop.
Is there a way to store password-protected files that maintain their
passwords after synchronization?
Is there third-party software for this device that will accomplish this?
TextMaker and PlanMaker would do the job, but that seems like an
expensive complex solution to a simple problem.
The PPC is running WM 2003 SE.
Thanks.

try Resco File Explorer from www.resco.net . It lets you set passwords for
encryption/decryption of directories, so that only you can read what is
written there.
