Is anyone else having this problem?

I have reminders set for my outlook appointments.  I have missed most of my
meetings for the past few months. I find it hard to believe that others have
not experienced this same problem. No matter how many times I change the
settings and check them on the Sounds and Notifications tab I still tend to
lose my notifications from time to time and have no idea how to get them
back or even why I lost them.

I recently installed a new build for the ROM and Windows Mobile software as
I thought that would help.  It did for a day or so, but the problem seems to
persist.  Can someone anyone help.

I have even gone so far as to test the reminders after the installation of
each program that I added to the PDA after flashing my ROM. I NEED my
reminders ;)

HELP, HELP PLEASE HELP!

Any ideas on how to fix it or prevent it would be helpful.  I don't know
enough about WM2003. Any suggestions at all...even if it means I have to
perform some ritual multiple times a day that include a hoola dance around
my PDA...in short, I am desperate.

Thanks
Ms. Safyre

P.S.  My PDA is set to Sync with Exchange Server instead of using the
desktop client.  Also does anyone know of a way to modify the sync interval
for Contacts and tasks?  Or to atleast get it to adhere to the same sync
schedule as the messaging service?  And where  do I submit enhancement/bug
fix requests to microsoft for WM2003.  I can only find a support page for
WM2005...which doesn't say much.  I've looked for it in the past and I am
still coming up empty.

I had the same issue on my PPC-6601 and found that the fix (I never
could figure out what the cause was) was to make the reminders
registry keys match those of a co-worker's PPC.

This is the key responsible:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Reminders]

On a working phone, the keys were set as follows:
Wave: Alarm1
Duration: 10
Options: 1073741837

On my non alerting phone the keys were:
Wave: Alarm1
Duration: 10
Options: 57072

I have no idea what the options parameter data signifies.

Before anything else, please confirm that you have the correct timezone
set on both the pc and ppc and they match.  If you travel between
timezones and reset your ppc, how you do this will impact when the
alarms sound, i.e. set a New York appointment in LA and the alarm may
sound 4 hours late... please clarify this before we delve into other issues.

Other things to check;

your volume level

start/settings/personal/sounds/sounds
(Confirm that events and notifications are checked)

start/settings/personal/sounds/notifications/reminders
(this controls the registry entries previously posted)

Alarm1 is easy to miss, especially when in a pocket, purse or pouch, so
pick a more "alarming" sound such as "whistle" and check repeat.
