Hi,

I have my imate k-jam setup so that every 20 minutes it downloads POP3
box emails. If I turn on the handset the following happens when
downloading email.

1. GPRS link established.
2. Data is then transferred
3. GPRS link remains on but no data is transferred.

I've also noticed that if GPRS is turned on, more battery power is
used.

Ideally I'd like for emails to be transferred and then the GPRS data
link to stop (hence saving battery power). Then 20 minutes later the
cycle happen again (i.e GPRS data link established, exchange data, GPRS
data link to stop).

Is there a way to set this up on WIndows Mobile 5 or is there any
software out there that can do this?

Thank you in advance.

I don't know which device you have, but there is a good chance that GBSoft's
GPRS Tweak will do what you want:
