The 6700Q seems to be a reasonable enough device except for two things:

1. I can't get it to connect to a WEP encrypted wireless router unless I
turn the encryption off. I assume this (and support for WPA and better forms
of security) will be forthcoming.

2. The phone ringing is too quiet to hear in even a quiet setting. This is
unacceptable -- I've got the volume cranked as high as it will go and it's
useless. The vibrate on a desk is louder than the ringing. Is there a fix
for this, or does anyone have a suggestion?

change your ring tone to a louder one?

or just pull that ringtone into an audio editor (GoldWave as an example) and
increase the volume of the file.
