Phone: XV6600, Verizon, WM 2003 2nd

This morning, I found my voicemail bubble showing I had 573161 voice
messages.
(I'm so popular).
Needless to say, my voicemail is really empty and several standard attempts
(resets, logging into voicemail, leaving myself a new message and deleting
it) to clear the notification has failed.

Any tips on clearing this notification?
