HTC Touch and Sprint, won't wake up when called

I bought my girlfriend an HTC Touch (from Sprint) last
November and for the first couple of months it worked
fine. Sometime in February it started having a problem
waking up when it was called. She would pick it up and
depress the button on the top and it would ring briefly
and say there was an incoming call then immediately say
that she had missed a call. The recent call list would
show the last missed call as being during the time the
thing was asleep. We live about 10 blocks from a Sprint
cell tower so it can't be the signal.

Anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix
it?

This is a known issue - they are still working on it for the next firmware
release.   I believe it has to do with the radio version.

You can ask about this in pdaphonehome.com or in ppcgeeks.com -  but no one
has a 100% answer.  I'd suggest posting in the HTC Wiki or in
Buzzaboutwireless.com - that way at least HTC or Sprint might actually
stumble upon the issues as their tech support isn't allowed to veer beyond -
have your reset your device?

I'll check the web sites you've listed. Thanks.

Yes, it's been reset, often (after Sprint told
me that was the only fix). It works most of the
time as long as it's reset every couple of days.
But even that's not fool proof.

Yep - I had to start a massive campaign for them to even halfway fix the BT
on the mogul - I started threads and kept them number one on just about
every place I thought HTC and Sprint would see it.   They need the gentle
touch of a 2x4 for them to catch subtleties about issues with their
products.  I highly recommend posting in threads in both buzzabout wireless,
the HTC wiki and sending an e-mail to HTC and Sprint directly.
