Hi.

This message is my first step into the mobil eprogramming and I have no clue
where to start.
Can anyone give me the first one?

I would like to write a pc software that can communicate with mobile phones
via BlueTooth.
I would like to support as much phones as I can in order to create a free
sync software/sms/mms/whatever utility.
The Nokia / Motorolla versions were not satisfying in my opinion, and I also
want 1 software to work with,
even if I change my phone once in a while.

Couldn't find any information on doing this.
I am an experienced serial comm programmer, but  ... where do I find
"command sets", available serial port...
info such as mobile phone type / supported BT devices etc.

Thank you very much.

this is more a pc issue than a pocketpc.

As for bt, it's serial with quirks... for example, keep the port open
between uses as there is a significant connection delay.

Related, Ed Hansberry has recently posted here his discover of the ppc's
"internet connection sharing" capabilities where, rather than addressing
the ppc/phone as a "modem" it's addressed as an internet connection
source which could potentially make life much easier doing what you
indicate you want to do.
