I just got a 6315 and got it unlocked.  I live in Charlotte and I told
Tmobile that I wanted the device and since they do not offer service in
Charlotte they had to unlock it... and they did :-) .

After playing with the device, I finally got the GSM/GPRS setup for the AT&T
network.  I can get my Email (I use Good ), and I can use the web browser to
Browse websites but none of the other applications like the MSN, AOL or
Yahoo  messenger clients work.

When I try to logon I get "proxy error" but the proxy is setup correctly
because I can browse over GPRS.  The AT&T data people have been real helpful
but since they do not have the device they are lost.  What am I missing?
Are there some hidden settings for the other network applications?

Any help or pointers would be helpful

Gary,

Spotted your post and I am sorry to say I can not help with the "prox
error" though I hope you have luck in getting it sorted.

I am also looking to unlock a US HP 6315 since I live in the UK Channe
Islands where there is no T-Mobile.  UK T-Mobile no nothing about th
unlocking issue.  Could you let me know the US number you called an
any name or reference that might be helpful?

Many thanks

Jeremy
