Hi all,

I recently purchased iPaq 5555 which has built integrated wireless.  I also
have Orinoco Access Pont RG-1000 setup at home which is connected to the
router with DSL.  The iPaq recognises RG-1000 and shows up under wireless
netowk and is connected.  However, I cannot access to the internet.  Please
help.

Go to Settings/Connections/Connections/Work/Proxy and set the checkbox "This
network connects to the Internet". Probably this will do it.

Helio,
Thank you for the response.  However, that is already checked and does not
work.

Do I need driver from Orinoco for pocketpc?  I checked orinoco site for
drivers for Poketpc but did not find any.  What adapter should be selected
under Network Asapters?

Thanks again,
Satish

You do need to make sure the network name and the WEP keys match on the PocketPC and the RG-1000. Is
that the case?

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/support/wireless_encrypt.htm

Typically, if you use the generic RG-1000 configuration manager the network name is the last five of
the device serial number... If you use the ORiNOCO Access Point Manager you can set it to anything
you want... Also note the generic RG-1000 only does 64-bit encryption, which makes a difference when
configuring a WEP key on your PocketPC.

You do not need any AP drivers installed!

Download vxUtil from http://www.cam.com and take a look at the wifi
network troubleshooting tips at

Hope this helps...

The adapter to select would be the iPAQ USB Wireless Adapter. You do not
need to load any drivers for the Orinoco. Do you have a flashing green or
orange LED in the top left corner?
