VPN trouble on Dell Axim X3i

I have a Dell Axim X3i (PocketPC 2003, built-in WiFi). I have set it
up exactly as described in the manual and confirmed my setup with info
in this group and on the Dell forum. Yet I cannot get make a VPN
connection to my office from home. I am able to make a VPN connection
with my notebook computer wirelessly from home, but not my Axim. When
I first set up my Axim, it did make the connection and sync'd with my
office desktop computer once. I have not been able to get a repeat
performance since then.

Based on my Axim manual and what I've seen on a co-worker's iPAQ, I
expect to see my VPN connection listed in the Connectivity menu (when
I tap the double-arrow icon in the title bar), but it is not listed.
If I go into settings and tap on the VPN connection and select
Connect, it does not seem to do anything. I monitor the VPN
connections on the my company's server and my connection never shows
up and is not recorded in the log. I've tried deleting the VPN
connection and re-creating it, but it did not help. I've gone over my
settings with our network admin and he said they looked correct to
him.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make this work?

Look at this small page for help with a PPTP VPN on a WM2003 device. Modify as needed for your
situation...

I already checked out that web page. I am set up just the way it says.
Thanks anyway. Any more ideas?
