Sorry for the bonehead question.

What is the easiest way to play MP3 files from my share drive.  All of the
add on programs, WinamPAQ, GSPlayer2, and Windows Media will not show my
share drive nor recognize shortcuts.  What am I doing wrong?

Get Resco File Explorer, and use it to share the drive.

I've tried using resco file explorer clicking "open with" and selecting one
of the players.  They never seem to open properly.  I will other MP3 files.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hmm I have use Windows Media Player 8.5 and 9.0. Both play my MP3 files,
over my 802.11b network. IMHO the 9.0 version is the best. With it I play up
to 320 kbps MP3 files over my network.

David,

Works for me too but I can't see a way to make a playlist so have to
play each file manually.

Get Resco Pocket Explorer 2003.  It allows you to map a
network drive on your pocket pc, then, if your media
player is associated with the files, you can click on
them from Resco Explorer and the application will launch
to play the files.  I've found that mp3's seem to play
fine but video can be choppy on my x3i over the wireless
network.  Good luck.

I use a product called PocketLan @ http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=2825 which allows you map shares printer etc on your PPC. The maps are grouped in a folder called NETWORK and looks like a external memory card (SD or CF) from the native explorer. It dosen't help if the application is not the default one for running the chossen file type.

My plea to developers please use an alternative to the standard fileopen dialog in WM2003 such as tGetFile SDK @ http://www.tillanosoft.com/ce/tgfsdk.html (i have no connection just a well done product)
