Hi,

Does anyone know any pocket PC support for GPRS (GSM and UMTS) using
PDP-context?

Thanks.

Yes, but in Phone Editions only which contains the radio stack to supports
PDP for GPS. PDP isn't supported in Pocket PCs without Phone Editions which
wouldn't makes any sense anyway because of the missing radio or does I miss
anything?

Thanks. I don't know the "Phone Editions", any detail?

Inside the GPRS radio-stack, there is a session manager, and it is
responsible for setting up the packet switching session for the PS-mode for
GPRS.  If it contains the radio stack with GPRS (PS-mode) support, it shall
support GPRS wiht PDP-context.

Does any PPC or Smartphone support GPRS with PDP-context?
Does it support through AT-command set or other API?

Hi Tom,

Pocket PC Phone Edition is Microsoft's platform for phone-enabled Pocket
PCs. Examples of devices using this are the Siemens SX-56 Pocket PC in the
US, and the O2 XDA in Europe. For more information, see
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/products/pocketpcphone/

Anne mentioned below that Pocket PC (regular edition) doesn't support PDP,
but Pocket PC Phone Edition does.

Hi David, Thanks.

How can I get development tool for the "Pocket PC Phone"?
Is it available in the MSDN Universal subscription?
Where can I find GPRS and PDP-context related API?

The "Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SDK" covers all Pocket PC editions (including
Phone Edition). It can be downloaded at http://microsoft.com/downloads

I don't know about those APIs ... although there are a few references to PDP
in the SDK.
