Maybe interference from another device transmitting in the same frequency band, ie. a 2.4 Ghz
wireless phone for example. Is this at home? Where are you in relation to the wireless access point
when you see signals drop out? Try changing the transmit channel on the AP to minimize interference
with other devices.

Hi Al,
I have tried it in the same room as the AP, but still the same result
unfortunately.
I also thought it may have been interference although there is nothing in
the room where the AP is located.
Thanks anyway for the suggestion. It's almost as if there were a black hole
in the house which affects 2.4 GHz!
The fault seems to be worse when I turn on IE on the PDA if that's any help
in trying to track down the problem..
Cheers,
Graham.

Can you try the 5550 device on another wireless network at a friends house or at work to see if the
problem follows the device or stays at home? Is it possible its an access point problem and not a
PocketPC problem? What access point do you have, ie. manufacturer and model? Do you run the latest
firmware in the access point?

Hi Al,
The AP is a D-Link DWL-900AP and the firmware is Ver 1.5.
I looked on their Oz site and they don't have any updated drivers.
The next thing I guess is to try my PDA on another system. It could be that
the D-Link is a bit of difficult unit to connect to.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Cheers,
Graham.

You also might try moving the access point, if possible, to another location in your house as an
experiment.
