I have an Ipaq 3850 with expansion sleeve with additional battery
pack. I use a Cisco Aeronet 350 card in it and barely get an hour of
use.  Anyone else have this trouble?  It's hardly worth having at this
rate. I bought it new and charged it fully for 24hrs before using it
and normally charge it overnight after each use.  Comments? Others
have this problem? Ideas?

If you have one of the old sleeves made by Compaq, the battery maybe
failing. I have used this setup with an Orinoco/Proxim 8410-wd card and
would expect the normal life to be about 2 to 2.5 hours. I haven't used a
Cisco card, what else are you doing?

I am currently just trying to use it to synch via the network. I am
able to have the ipaq on for less than 1 hour before it starts warning
me the battery is low and I need to charge it. It is only about 1
month old used probably less than 15hours total. I am not sure if its
one of the old sleeves. Its part number 173396-01 H3600 series.

With an iPAQ it is normal to get one warning at about 50% ~ 60% and then
another at 20% ~ 30%. The first warning can be ignored, IMHO. As long as you
know you can recharge your device within a few hours. You may get up to
another hour before you get the second alarm. You might want to jot down
just what the Alarm is saying. Generally it is safe to continue to use your
device until you see the critical alarm, or it is down to the 20 to 30
percent level.
