I got Axim X3i 2 days ago... I have Netgear wireless router... tried to get connected to internet at home... but my axim keeps saying "Unable to obtain a server assigned IP address. Try again later or enter an IP address in Network settings." it's DHCP, no WEP, and it seems my pda connected but keeps saying the message above... my laptop computer works fine with its wireless lan card... what do I have to do?... Please help... T_T I had the same problem when I first got my X3i. The only way that I got mine to work is by using a static IP address (disable DHCP). Now it works great, avg. 11mbps speed. T_T Curious problems. I've got an X5 which I've been using for almost a year with an SMC wireless access point but when I recently changed to a Netgear I experienced the same problems. What I was able to diagnose was a problem with the combination of settings that are required to be used on the Netgear. I isolated it to the Netgear when I tried connecting my wife's desktop through the netgear and ran into the same problem. To be quite honest I've since been able to connect my X5 as well as my laptop by turning off WEP.
