SanDisk Wifi-SD + Ipaq 3970 + PPC2003

Hello,

my SanDisk Wifi-SD-Card doesn't work with my Ipaq 3970 under WM2003.
I installed the latest driver (oct. 2003) from the sandisk sites - but no effect.

The led doesn't flash - the ipaq doesn't recognise this card.
The card is with an ipaq 3950 after an update fully functional.

But I have no more idea what I should else try.

The HP-Support says "no support" .....

I would be happy about any comments!!

Thanks

Sandy

Note that the chart at

http://www.sandisk.com/consumer/download/sdwifi/sdwifi_compatability_list.htm

indicates that the 3950 has to have the rom upgrade applied... the
question is if your version of 2003 is that upgrade... there is an ipaq
link at the bottom of that page.

If it is applied, would suspect that the card is defective.

I know this link.
Unfortunately this is only for the 2002-version.
The card works fine with an updated ipaq 3950 and 2002 - but not with
2003!!

Does anybody know some links to SDIO-Drivers so that I can manually
replace them?

It's a pitty, that HP isn't interested in product care! It should be
normal that the updates for 2002 are also included in 2003.

Is there anybody with an 39xx ipaq and WM2003 and a Wifi-SD-Card
working??

There are two sets of drivers for the SanDisk SD... can you confirm that
you uninstalled the 2002 drivers and installed the 2003 drivers?

Also check to see if the SD socket is damaged. Plug a memory card in and see
if the system recognizes it.

Hi,

yes I can read/write SD Memory-Cards in my socket. Also my HP
Photosmart SD-Camera works fine.
But not the sandisk wifi-SD card (in my socket).

I only installed the 2003 drivers, because I'm running 2003.
After a few days of trial and error I also tried the ones for 2002 -
of course no success.

Then, think your only option is to return the card to SanDisk for
replacement.

Also when it works fine in other mobile devices? (e.g. 3950 PPC2002 v1.1)?

guess what I am saying is that you have what is supposed to be a
workable combination that doesn't... so?

I believe that after installing the 2002 drivers on a WM 2003 system it
maybe necessary to hard reset your device to get the 2003 drivers to work.
Seems from what I have heard just uninstalling the 2002 drivers is not
enough.
