Connecting to Internet from ipaq with wifi

I'm tearing my hair out with this.

I have 2 XP Pro machines at home on a wired network. One is a gateway
to the Internet via ISDN, to remote for ADSL :o(

I've just added a Linksys WAP11 Wireless access point to the network
but cannot get my ipaq to connect through to the internet.

The iPaq see's the access point and connects. No matter what I try, I
cannot get pie to see any web pages, the local network machines appear
to be inaccessable, VPN connectoiions don't seem to work either.

I'm new to this wireless stuff so be gentle! I'm getting more and more
confused by the way this all works and the differences between
Internet and work options. Any help at all would be much appriciated.

The iPaq is a 5550 running WM2003 1.10 ROM.

Are you able to retrieve pop3 e-mail from your iPAQ?

If you download VxUtil, can you PING a server, like www.wired.com?

If yes, then try running the \windows\welcome.exe program from your Pocket
PC, soft reset an try again.

Are you running ICS on one of your computers, the gateway? If you are then
the WAP11 must have it's DHCP Server disabled.

Hi David

The setup I've got at the moment is 2 XP Pro machines. Everything is
on 192.168.2.X

The gateway box is running on .1 and internet access is via vsocks to
the PCI terminal adapter card for the ISDN connection to the internet.
Running a browser on this box works fine. vsocks dials the ISDN line
and I can access the internet.

The second XP Box is .2 and this has .1 as it's gateway and dns as .1
This machine connects through .1 to the internet without problems.

The WAP11 box is connected to the same switch as the two XP machines
and has an ip address of 192.168.2.251 and the gateway is set for
192.168.2.1 the same as the others. I cannot see any reference to dhcp
in the setup for this box. The only options I appear to have are IP
address, Subnet mask, and gateway. I don't appear to be able to set
and DNS either on this.

I foolishly thought this should be a plug in and go setup. More fool
me!
