Hi all,

Have an IPAQ 4155 which I use with two desktop PC's, both using a
DLINK DBT-120 BT USB adapter. I sync with one of them. This all worked
fine untl a few days ago, when after reinstalling drivers on one PC,
network access stopped working. I'm using vxUtil and when I ping
something with an IP address, I get 5 bad packets. This includes the
PC I'm using Network Access with. ActiveSync and file sharing via BT
works. I'm running Windows XP Pro firewall, but have enabled ICMP
echo. Pinging a hostname I get "Cannot find host". Using IE I get "The
page you are looking for cannot be found".

This all used to work. What could be the problem here?

Have you installed a firewall lately?

The drivers you refer to are the Bluetooth drivers or some other software?

Are you using Bridge or ICS? Perhaps installing the drivers corrupted the
configuration?

Mauricio> Have you installed a firewall lately?

No. As I said I'm using the XP firewall. This is on both desktop
PC's. But I cannot even ping these PC's with IP when I'm connecting
through them.

Mauricio> The drivers you refer to are the Bluetooth drivers or some
 Mauricio> other software?

The BT drivers. And I've reinstalled these drivers several times
afterwards. Also tried latest WIDCOMM drivers. No luck. Buit this is
only on PC #2. On PC #1 I haven't done anything, and the problem still
popped up with this one. Therefore I suspect something weird on the
PPC itself. But what?

Mauricio> Are you using Bridge or ICS?

I don't know what you are referring to here.

ICS or Bridge are the network configuration used on Windows to share your
internet access to other adapters - in this case the Bluetooth adapter.

Have a look in our Bluetooth Guides to check the screenshots and steps.

I'm using Internet Connection Sharing, didn't recognize the acronym.

I followed your guide while setting this up.
