Has anyone had any luck using Outlook Webaccess on a pocketPC 2003 device?
I have an iPaq h4150.  i can get to the owa page and login but i can not
open any messages.  i saw a post on another group that said a program called
Netfront would work.  I downloaded the trial version and it looks better but
it does not even display the messages.  Access, the Netfront company replied
back and said they do not support OWA.  It would be nice to access our
exchange server both locally and when we are out the office but have access
to the internet.  any suggestions?

thanks!

Mike,

I can't answer your question separately, but a workaround I use with Lotus
Notes might work for you 'till you get fixed.

In Lotus Notes, you can set up an agent to forward emails to another
address. I set mine up to forward them to a "Conventional" email account
which can be accessed easily from any internet connected PC or Pocket PC.

If there is an automatic mail forwarding option in Outlook, perhaps you
could try that?

Martin,

Thanks for the response.  I have considered that as an option.   I was able
to reconfigure the screen with netfront but the one thing I can not do is
reply to an email.  i can compose a new message but it does not let me reply
back to an open email.  i am still working on that.

Do you setup your pocketpc to login to the mail server and retrieve mail
directly  or do you use a web based email system?

thanks again!

I have set up my pocketpc to dial into my ISP (via Bluetooth & cell phone)
when away from home. I can then use the provided pocketpc application
"Inbox" to send and receive mail from my mail server.

If I'm at home, I can use a wi-fi connection to my dsl router to connect.
Although I could just as easily use the PC if there wasn't a random teenager
on it. That is *much* faster.

With this workaround though, you'll not be able to reply straight back
without entering the original sender's email address...

I suppose you could quite easily use a web based email system with the
pocketpc.

Regards

Martin

upgrade your exchange server to at least exchange 2000. it works
perfectly with ppc2003 and owa!
