I just bought a Jabra BT 200. My iPAQ 5550 has a bluetooth option to detect
BT headphones. That option doesn't work with my iPAQ. I also tried to detect
a Logitech BT headphone with the same result.
Did I miss something or is my iPAQ not capable of making a BT connection
with a headphone?

HP removed the headset option from many of their ppc's. If you search
around you should find a registry hack that will allow you to pair your
bt200 to the ipaq but sound quality isn't the best. I have a bt250 that I
was able to pair to my 5555 without any hacks but I'm not sure if the bt250
has extra profiles or if the latest 5555 rom added the headset profiles
back.

I found the registry hacks on the internet.
There was no need to change the register (the changes were alreaedy
performed).
My iPAQ has a detection mode for headsets, so I expect my iPAQ to
auto-detect an BT headset. I 'don't think the Jabra changed the profile
going from BT200 to BT250...
I have the latest rom from HP.
Who can advise???

Are you are putting the Jabra into 'pairing mode' before you try to discover
it with the PPC?

It seemed the Jabra 200 didn't function. I replaced it with a Jabra 250 and
now it functions the way it should.

So I guess there is a difference in the 200 and 250. my 250 works great
with my 5555. Glad to hear you got it working.

Hello there!
I'm from Norway and have a HP5550 and would like to use a headset (Because I
use TomTom navigator and the sound quality is not always good enough in the
car...) Is it correct that I can connect a bluetooth headset - or handsfree
to the HP? If so - any good tips on which to select??

I'd go for the JABRA 250. I use it with my iPAQ 5550 and TOMTOM. It's great.

Yes get the BT250 instead of the BT200. Longer battery life and it pairs
with the 5555 very nicely.
