Hi guys.
i wanted some clarification.
if i have a router/access point.... can i use my pocketpc/laptop
wirelessly?
and if yes.. how are the connections made?
note: i don't have any other computer

This is rather ambiguous...
If you have a WiFi access point and your P/PC and Laptop have WiFi cards or
built-in, they yes, you can connect to them. You will have to make sure
that the Access Point's wireless feature is enabled and configure it
(according the the manufacture instructions). You will then need to
configure your P/PC and Laptop to work on that network (again, see the APs
instructions as it probably covers this).

To talk to each other? or to talk to an internet connection? or both. The
initial difficulty is likely to be that you need to configure the Router/AP,
part of which is often turning the wireless features on. Normally you do
that by connecting to the RouterAP via an ethernet cable and following the
instructions. Usually that involves opening a browser window and entering
the router/AP default IP address, which brings up a configuration screen.
Does your laptop have an ethernet port?
