Does any version of Pocket Steets work with a bluetooth GPS?

MS Steets & Trips 2005 is available with a GPS.
As usual S&T comes with Pocket Steets.
However, the package does not clearly state if the GPS will work with
Pocket Streets itself.
In fact, it appears that the GPS is not bluetooth, but can be adapted for
bluetooth.
OK... Will it work with Pocket Streets with the adapter?

With the adapter, starting with Street and Trips 2004 Pocket Street supports
Bluetooth GPS.

However the economics aren't there. You'll pay $80 to $130 for S&T 2005 with
the USB GPS. Pharos wants $100 for the BT sled for the thing. So for a
minimum you'll pay $180 for a BT GPS and a PPC mapping program that has
dismal GPS support. (Pocket Streets is not dismal, it just doesn't get any
more useful if you add GPS).

For the same price you could get Delorme's package with Street Atlas, Street
Atlas Handheld and their BT receiver, which works very well, BTW, the RX,
the mapping stuff is OK. Or you could pick up a different BT Rx and some
decent PPC map package for just a little more.

2004 and later versions support the Com Ports that BT GPS require.  However
Pocket Streets is a poor navigation application,  it is a great paper map
but has no voice, routing or trip planning features on the PPC.  You'd be
far better getting a BT GPS and 'proper' GPS navigation application for the
PPC e.g. TomTom, CoPilot, Navman etc.  See our site for reviews of all these
and more.
