Help with IPAQ 4705 and Cingular GPRS Access

Hello,

I've gone just mildly insane trying to get this to work.
What? :  Connecting my IPAQ 4705 to the Internet (via BT) using my Cell
Phone which has got unlimited GPRS Cingular Access.

Any suggestions & insight are surely welcomed. STRAIGHT JACKET AND SEDATIVES
ARE A PLUS!!!!

I've tried so many different combinations for the settings and UserName &
Password & Phone # to dial and still nothing.

I'd spoken to Cingular who gave me a list of settings to use and they
instructed me to contact HP thereafter which I did. I got nowhere with the
folks at HP who tried to instruct me on what I think I already knew.....or
do I????
----------------------------------
Here are some basic questions so that I can perhaps fine tune my future
attempts:

1- Does my Phone need to be already connected to the Internet? or can it be
idle (I've tried both ways mind you).

2- For the Phone number, I've tried the following...all of which didn't
work: *99*#,   *99#, *99***# and so on, and so on. Any suggestions as to
which is the best one to use?

3- Is the Area Code and Country Code actually needed? I continue to leave
them blank, although HP says that they ARE ALWAYS NEEDED.

4- Is it possible my router which is turned on 24/7 might be causing some
sort of conflict within my home?

5- Cingular gave me a long list of settings which included the following:
(did they go overboard with what they gave me?) Most of these settings I had
no idea as to where to put them....and chatting with my fella at HP got us
no where as well.

Name: cingular

Home page: http://device.home

Gateway IP1: 66.209.11.81 (might require 0 before each set)

Port1: 9201

Service Type1: WAP

Service Type 2: WAP

CSD1: 14152441012

Username: WAP@CINGULAR.COM

PASSWORD: CINGULAR1

Speed one: 9600

Line Type1: ISDN

Speed two is the same as above

GPRSAPN: WAP.CINGULAR

Username: wap@cingularGPRS.com

Password: CINGULAR1

I'd truly appreciate any help.

Save yourself a huge hassle. Cell phone / bluetooth / GPRS is a
nightmere.

ummmm, I finally got it to work.

After a Hard Reset and one particular combination of entries.......it
WORKS!!!!!!

But let me say this: The folks I spoke with at HP & Cingular had no idea
what they were doing. Following their leads I would've ended up farther and
farther away from the solution!
