I've had this program sitting in my downloads folder for months without
trying it out. The other day I cracked the screen on my XdaII which obscures
about 40% of the screen from displaying.
I installed Remote Display Control and I can run the busted PPC from the
cradle thru the PC. This allowed me to easily do a couple backups of the
XdaII to SD card and Activesync, before sending it off in the mail to be
fixed. Without the Remote Display I could not have seen parts of the dialog
boxes that are crucial to kicking off the backups.
Unfortunately, it also lets me play the PPC games through the PC, wasting
more time than I should.
Question, can a single PPC connect to seperate PCs on the same LAN? Not
simultaneously, but allow access at different times from different
workstations? This might be a way to add an appointment to the Calendar
while meeting at a colleague's cubicle. I.E., can Remote Display be used
from a PC that hasn't already established a Partnership with the PPC? I
realise that CertDisp needs to be tapped after the PC initiates the
connection, but this would still be a way to compare open calendar time at a
colleagues desk while trying to find mutual open time.

I don't know. I only used the program once to see if it worked and that was a few years ago...

If I understand you correctly you want to view your PPC on someone else's PC
over the LAN? No, that won't happen, as Remote Display Control depends on AS
to work, I believe, and your PPC is not connected to your colleagues
machine. Might I humbly suggest you take you PPC with you when you visit a
colleague so you can compare schedules that way ;)

Try Pocket Controller Enterprise. It is designed for network admins to
administrator multiple pocket pc's across the network thru activesync
or IP. It is a pretty cool utilty. Heres the link.
